Mt Hood 2026: Muilt-mobidity & Synthetic data

The Mt Hood Diabetes Challenge Network 2026 Challenges aim to enhance transparency, comparability, and methodological innovation in diabetes & health economic simulation modelling.

Proposed challenges include a comorbidity challenge, which will integrate conditions such as dementia to examine their impact on outcomes like quality-adjusted life years, and a synthetic data challenge developed with the REDDIE project. Finally, a pre-symptomatic screening challenge in type 1 diabetes has been proposed to evaluate the long-term clinical and economic value of early detection strategies, reflecting increasing policy interest in prevention and early intervention. The Mt Hood 2026 conference will also accept abstracts and organise sessions on a wide range of topics related to diabetes and health economic simulation modelling.

Overview

Mount Hood, Diabetes Challenge Network, is dedicated to promoting an exchange of ideas and information between those developing and using health economic diabetes simulation models.

The Mount Hood, Diabetes Challenge Network, has run a diabetes health economics and computer simulation modelling conference bi-annually since 1999. A major focal point of the conferences are comparisons of health economic diabetes models both in terms of their structure and performance. A write-up of a past conference can be found here. Information, including programs for all of the past conferences, can be found on the archive page.

The Network has also developed an extensive set of diabetes simulation modelling resources and guidelines for those developing or using simulation models.

The search site function on the left-hand side of the menu bar is a good way to find specific information.

If you would like to receive information on future diabetes simulation modelling meetings, please send an email with "ADD ME TO THE MAILING LIST" in the subject line to mthood2016[at]gmail.com, or use the form on the contact page.
